New Apprentice Plumber Grants

Grants worth $25,000 are on offer to help the next generation of plumbers.

Rheem says it will award 25 grants worth $1000 each to help deserving apprentices.

Rheem Australia CEO Matt Sexton:

“There’s a significant need for financial assistance among apprentice plumbers, and Rheem is happy to support the plumbing industry wherever it can.”

Rheem has helped 125 apprentice plumbers from around Australia since launching its Grants program in 2012.

Previous recipients include:

• A young newlywed who together with his wife spends holidays volunteering in a third world country
• A mother of three who started an all-female plumbing business
• A hearing impaired apprentice
• A teenager who had to commute a further 60km a day to get to work after a fire and flood destroyed the road from his property
• Several ambitious apprentices planning to use their skills to bring adequate plumbing to remote and/or disadvantaged areas.

Applications for the 2015 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants opened on the 1st August 2015 and close on Wednesday 30th September 2015.

Recipients will be announced on Friday 30th October 2015.
